The Flip MinoHD is a camcorder that supports a 4GB (60 minutes) internal memory and features a 1.5” (transflective TFT) screen display with 528 x 132 pixels resolution. It can record at 16:9 widescreen, HD 720p (1280 x 720) at 30 frames per second (constant frame rate, progressive scan) with a video bitrate of 9.0Mbps (average – auto adaptive algorithm). The device supports recording in H.264 video compression, AAC audio compression, and saves as MP4 file format. The lens on the Flip MinoHD is a Fixed Focus (1.5m to infinity) lens with an aperture of f/2.4 (fast lens for great results in low-light environments). It has a 2x digital zoom with 8 Touch-Sensitive Capacitive Buttons (Power, Play, Delete, Record and 4 way navigation). The Flip MinoHD measures 3.94” x 1.97” x 0.63” (H x W x D) and supports a built-in flip-out USB arm (up to 2.0 USB speed) for PC connection and a Composite Video (cable included) TV out. It is powered by a rechargeable lithium ion battery, and charges on both USB and Flip Video power adapter (buy now).

It also features a silent mode for recording in sensitive situations. The unit comes with a Tripod Mount and is compatible with Windows XP, Windows Vista and Mac OSX operating system. It requires a system with the following minimum features: 3.0 GHz Intel Pentium 4 or faster processor, Windows XP SP2 with 512 MB of RAM or Vista with 1 GB of RAM, and USB 2.0 port for PC or 1.66 GHz Intel Core Duo or faster processor, 1 GB of RAM, OS X Tiger 10.4, Leopard 10.5 or Snow Leopard 10.6, and USB 2.0 port for Mac. The unit comes pre-loaded  with FlipShare™ software for instant viewing, editing, one-click emailing, and online sharing and allows users to browse, playback, organize and archive videos; create movies with video clips, music and titles; edit clips and create still-image snapshots from video; and upload to Facebook™, MySpace™, YouTube™ and other video sharing sites. Users can also share videos privately using attachment-free emails or greetings cards (free and unlimited video sharing) or create private Flip Channels to share videos with groups of family and friends.
