Reviews
“Another Lexmark inkjet all-in-one, but with a slightly different breakdown from its siblings we’ve looked at, the X4650 is a bit quicker on black print, a bit slower on colour, quite a bit more expensive in consumables and with more presentable black print than before. With its low purchase price, you can perhaps afford a bit more for the consumables, so it comes down to how much you’re planning to use the machine for printing.” (TrustedReviews, 2008)
“Overall we were impressed with the performance of the Lexmark X4650. It provides all the features that a small home office might require (it also comes with Lexmark fax software) and the print and scan performance is adequate, with impressive results in the photo printing. The card reader, whilst not great because of the absence of a preview screen, does give you extra flexibility to scan and save documents to be directly portable, plus gives you to option of PC free printing, either through PictBridge, or direct from the card.” (PocketLint, 2008)
“Clearly, the primary reason to consider the X4650 is because you need—or really want—the Wi-Fi support. If you don’t, you’d be much better off with an AIO like the Epson NX400. But if you need Wi-Fi, whether to print from multiple computers without snaking wires through walls, or just so that you can take your portable computer from room to room, the X4650 is a reasonable choice at an attractive price.” (PCMag, 2008)
