The Logitech Guitar Hero III Premium gaming guitar is a wireless guitar controller designed to be used with a game console with Guitar Hero III in mind. It is made out of the exact same material such as rosewood and steel which are used to make real guitars. It spots a design that replicated that of a real guitar with a few changes. The Logitech Guitar Hero III Premium gaming guitar spots a design that features faux tuning pegs, machine heads and strap buttons which are all made out of metal and have a silver finish. The neck of the guitar is made out of wood while the fretboard is made out of rosewood. Besides that, the Logitech Guitar Hero III Premium gaming guitar also has metal frets and a plastic nut to make it look more like a real guitar. In general, the Logitech Guitar Hero III Premium gaming guitar looks similar to Fender’s Stratocaster although it is not officially licensed. In addition to that, the Logitech Guitar Hero III Premium gaming guitar also incorporates a slightly longer strum bar that is closer to the Star Power and Select buttons which are both integrated into the pick-ups. There is also a whammy bar and a start button situated on the mock bridge as well as the multi-directional PlayStation or Xbox menu button which is almost identical to the one that appears on the official guitars bellow all of those buttons.. There is also a touch sensitive neck slider and Star power button that lets you access all the features of Guitar Hero.

Reviews
“The Logitech Wireless Guitar Controller looks great and would be suitable for casual virtual rock gods. However, given its high price point we’d have a great deal of trouble justifying it to people. On the other end of the spectrum, while many hardcore GH players would be willing to shell out the money for a premium guitar, there are just a few too many annoyances in this package to recommend to someone who wants to turn it up to 11.” (CNET, 2009)
“The issue is the price. At US$199 (AUD$399.95/GBP£149), you’ll be spending more than enough to get yourself a real beginner’s guitar and practice amplifier – but if you’ve decided you don’t want to do that (or already have) and have the cash to burn to make your music gaming experience as good as it’s likely to get, then you won’t go wrong with Logitech’s offering.” (GizMag, 2009)
“Logitech’s PS3 and PS2 Guitar hero axe is the only one to have the same weight and feel as those used by the rock stars you strive to emulate. With metal frets and tuning pegs, rosewood fingerboard and maple neck, you can rock out from a range of 10m from the console in a manner that can only be described as “exceedingly bitching”.” (T3, 2009)
