
The Nokia 5800 Navigation Edition is a full GPS-centric variant of the Nokia 5800 XpresMusic that combines the functionality of its predecessor with lifetime Drive and Walk navigation license and a stand and car charger that allows users to use the phone as an in-car SatNav unit. The Nokia 5800 Navigation Edition is available in Chrome and Black color combo and come in three different versions, each featuring quad-band GSM connectivity with two featuring WLAN and dual-band 3G with HSDPA, while the third one will not have the afore mentioned WLAN and dual-band 3G with HSDPA function. The handset features a 3.2 inch screen and runs Ovi Maps GPS navigation software (that comes preinstalled). It also features a 3.2 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss lens, memory expandable up to 16 GB., Wi-Fi, 3G, GPS (of course), and smartphone features like a web browser. It runs on the Symbian 9.4 operating system and also supports an accelerometer, along with white balance adjustment and red-eye reduction for the camera. The Nokia 5800 Navigation Edition handset also features stereo speakers and surround sound, and provides user with a playback time of 35 hours on a single charge of its battery. The phone is also pre-loaded with a lifetime of voice-guided Drive and Walk navigation licenses. It also comes with a guidance software, a car charger and Nokia car kit. It offers voice-guided navigation including local traffic warnings with the latest version of Ovi Maps to pinpoint places of interest and useful info such as local weather reports and the best place to grab a bite.
