In the world of media, technology has evolved at such a fast pace that we might feel left behind if not followed closely. It used to Blu-Ray that was ruling the headlines, then came the 3D-craze after Avatar. Now, it seems that it’s the size that matters, literally-speaking. Speaking of size, Amex Digital has unveiled what it calls the smallest media player in the world.
The Amex Digital MP-501 is said to be the smallest media player around with several features that can fit in. To have a media player means that you can have media on the move. The media player measures 175- x 128- x 15mm and weighs 250g, not heavy at all to carry around. The best thing about this media player would be the fact that it can play 1080p without any slight disturbance, something that small media players lack.
The Amex Digital MP-501 supports several film formats, and these can be played on it either through a connected USB storage device or an SD card. It comes with a composite video / audio output and mini-USB port. It works on an ARM Cortex-A8 processor. The Amex Digital MP-501 will be sold at the price of $49.
