Seems like not everyone likes to make their business public. A perfect example of that comes in the case of Microsoft, which has so far kept quiet on its Windows Phone 7 sales. Though we can’t draw a particular example of that in the past by the brand, it is a well-known fact that when its ventures are successful brands speak about it openly, and when it’s not they tend to lie low for a while.
When Microsoft sold about 240 million Windows 7 licenses in one year alone consisting of about seven copies going per second, the brand didn’t shy away from speaking on its achievement. The same goes with 15 million IE9 downloads or 2,000 new Office 365 beta customers per day or even gaining 750 million worldwide users of Microsoft Office.
This time it seems that everyone wants to know about the number of sales that Microsoft managed to make of its Windows Phone 7. As we all know, the phones working on WP7 went on sale last month. Not all has been smooth as several smartphones were reported not to be as perfect as advertised. Let’s see what Microsoft has to say on this one.
