New Feature in Viera Plasma HDTVs

by Julie on February 10, 2010

Due to the success of their plasma HDTVs, Panasonic now intends to concentrate more on plasmas rather than LCDs. They want to make their plasmas a bit more like the LCDs around. What Panasonic did with its new line of Viera plasma HDTVs is, add a new automatic control which will help in brightening the background’s (of whatever will be on screen) initial color. This will result in a much better picture performance than seen before. Based on this new improvement, there should be no worries about the additional automatic voltage adjustments as the internal material characteristics in the plasma will take care of that. Experts were noted saying that this will make the Plasma and LCD HDTVs almost the same considering the fact that there will be almost no difference in the black level of both types of HDTVs. Panasonic promises that over time their plasmas will definitely mature in terms of image quality and performance. To which our question remains unanswered, how much will the new plasma be?
