SanDisk releases its smallest USB Flash Drive

by Julie on July 30, 2010

We always wonder and are amazed at the fact on how fast technology is evolving. Today, SanDisk announced that it has manufactured the smallest and tiniest USB flash drive, an attempt it has never tried before.

As everyone knows, there used to be a time when flash drives were big with small memory capacities but now they all come in tiny packages. The tinier it is, the faster you can lose it. That aside, the new drive from SanDisk has been given a sleek name, SanDisk Cruzer Blade.

Those who have felt the new drive claim that it does not weight more than a penny does and is as big as a paper clip is. That’s about as small as a flash drive can get. But its manufacturer continues to claim that though it is the smallest flash drive it has ever produced, there are other flash drives as tiny as this one. The SanDisk Cruzer Blade is available in different memory capacities from 2GB to 16GB with its prices ranging from $15 to $77.90.
